Havok goes for Android

Google and all the Open Headset Alliance are cooking everything they have on the frige to improve Android Experience. Now Videogames are going to expect a benefit with the use of this Physics engine. But, what's is the big deal with it??, a Physics Engine is:

Computer software that provides an approximate simulation of certain simple physical systems, such as rigid body dynamics (including collision detection), soft body dynamics, and fluid dynamics, of use in the domains of computer graphics, video games and film.

Mobile phones are becoming more and more powerful - a claim that comes across as obvious as rains falls down -. It's something we've seen over time: from the first games 16-bits games operated by pressing certain numbers on the keyboard until the arrival of the Unreal Engine to IOS, for example. Next, the arrival of Havok and its tools to those Android powered terminals.

Havok, which comes from an Irish company, also well know for having developed a number of other related technologies of behavior to certain objects and reactions with a very good quality, examples of this technology has been used in such familiar titles as "BioShock 2" or "Uncharted 2: The Kingdom of Thieves".

Havok is been working on a number of physical engines, behaviors, etc. ported to Android phones. Currently is especially suited to the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, notwithstanding will spread to other high-end devices in the near future.
