Apple Store has more games than 20 years of VideoGames

iOS currently has 3 times more games than 25 years cumulative consoles. The last chart shows that the 42,000 games that are within the 300,000 apps available up to day on the App Store, outnumbering (and quite long), the sum of 17,150 games representing NES, Master System, Genesis (Megadrive), SNES, PS1, N64, Saturn, Xbox, PS2, Gamecube, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, Game Boy, Game Boy Advanced, DS and PSP (missing the Dreamcast, although its 720 games make no significant change).
Of course quantity is not the same as quality, in other words this has nothing to do a good PS3 game that a good one on iPhone. One makes you feel almost like being inside the war (GOW III). The other simply gives you a good time on the subway.

Despite the restrictions of Apple Store, it is much easier to publish a game there instead of a console, where big brands like Nintendo or Sony place higher requirements where single people or really small companies can not effort to accomplish.

Those 42,000 plays mentioned above are only those that are active in the Market. If we are to total all-time games, the figure would be 51,856. If we subtract the same company that counted as lite (12 876) or free (6542), we still have 32,438 games, yet iOS wins over consoles.
