Tegra 2/3D & Tegra 3/4

Lately, a little bit pronounced has been about the Nvidia's Tegra ARM family, where the most representative product for the first generation was the Microsoft Zune HD, also I had talked about the second generation with the LG Optimus X2, with the leading flag of being the first smartphone with a dual core processor (Tegra 2).

Of course, Nvidia will not sit down waiting for the profits of this chipset, as consequence this are theirs plans for the following generations of Tegra processors:

The image below shows the NVIDIA roadmap for 2011, which of course, will give us an idea of what is going to happend for Tablets and Phones around this and the next year.

Tegra 2/3D means that they are going to use the platform on the market and make the necessary extensions in order to support 3D capabilities (someone mentioned Nintendo 3DS), porting them from what Nvidia has learnt with their Desktop counterparts.

About the Tegra 3/4, is a huge history: the ability to deploy 4 cores inside a mobile device is not a easy task, nonetheless they have started to improve their designs to make this "dream" come true. Few specs to expect from it is a 1.5GHz core velocity, Blu-ray de-codification and Full HD (1900x1200 px) with 2 or more screens.

I just can't wait to watch their products on the market and working.
